The first three rows consist of six numbers that total the one number in the fourth row.

Row One: Three numbers, first and last numbers with four digits, middle one with three, called the Good, Bye and Blog numbers.

Row Two: Starts with Zero,  then fwo five digits numbers called the Smart and State numbers.

Row Three: Starts with Zero, one number called the Queensland number.

Row Four: Starts with Zero, one number called the Gobbledygoo number, which is the sum of the six numbers in the first three rows. Notice Gobbledygoo is an anagram of Goodbyeblog.

The question is "What is the sum of the Good number 1811, the Bye number 661, the Blog number 1972, the Smart number 71239, the State number 28713 and the Queensland number 4723340048?"

With Gobbledygoo Arithmetic you can beat the calculator. Now assuming Doctor Gobbledygoo
knows none of these numbers, the 33 digits in the question and the 11 digits in the answer,  she
could quickly come up with the Good, Bye, Blog, Smart, State, Queensland and Gobbledygoo numbers if she is provided with the 11 digits of the answer jumbled into any order.

Of course this is impossible if you don't understand Gobbledygoo Arithmetic, which is basic arithmetic designed to baffle teachers. How could you unjumble an 11 digit number when you have no knowledge of what the original number was, and no knowledge of all the unknown numbers that it is the sum of?

Gobbledygoo Arithmetic is not Rocket Science. It is basic mental Addition and Subtraction with some Multiplication and Division. Mental arithmetic is preferred over electronic calculations. The aim is to baffle and astound teachers to bring to their attention that Australians are missing out on Basic Australian Numerature. There is much emphasis on English Literature whereas Australian Numerature is almost unheard of. It is the numerical equivalent of Poetry and Prose, encouraging creativity and symbolic problem solving.

So how could a child baffle a teacher with Gobbledy Arithmetic? Elementary, Gobbledygoo Arithmetic was designed by me, Mrs Noughtfear, The Number Nun in Queensland with a view to helping find Little Wuns who are missing from their families through Alienation, Adoption or Abduction. Notice 10 letters in Alienation, 8 in Adoption and 9 in Abduction, 1089. Notice 11 letters in Gobbledygoo and divide 1089 by 11 to equal 99, Nineapple Pineapple? Divide 1089 by 3 to equal 363 The Little Wun.
